�ǿմ�ý

“This is a much-anticipated event for �ǿմ�ý every year,” says Marius Langeland, Associate Director, �ǿմ�ý Partnerships and Projects, �ǿմ�ý �ǿմ�ý. “It’s an incredible opportunity for the community to experience just some of the incredible culture that Korea has to offer.”

A popular event since 2016, with a pause during the Covid pandemic, the festival has served as a platform for cultural exchange and community connections. Guests can expect a day full of good food, crafts stations, Korean games, live music and performances.

The festival is a collaboration between �ǿմ�ý’s School of Arts and Science, �ǿմ�ý Student Society and �ǿմ�ý �ǿմ�ý with contributions and sponsorship from a variety of partners such as Hallym University in South Korea (one of �ǿմ�ý’s longest standing Study Abroad partners for over 10 years), the Korean Cultural Centre in Ottawa, and the Korean Consulate of Vancouver. Food will be provided by Sushi Story.

�ǿմ�ý has approximately 2,100 international students, including over 30 students from Korea, adding to the cultural diversity on campus and in the classroom. �ǿմ�ý also offers several Korean language courses at the level of introductory and intermediate.

Established in 1971, �ǿմ�ý is one of the largest colleges in British Columbia with campuses on the territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples. For over 50 years, �ǿմ�ý has been delivering innovative, relevant and applied education, supporting communities, businesses and employers.
